Aon Names Mike Reid EMEA Facultative Leader

The former Sompo executive will lead Aon’s facultative reinsurance business across Europe, the Middle East and Africa.

Aon (Dublin) has appointed Mike Reid EMEA CEO of Facultative Reinsurance, effective July 1, 2026.

Reid succeeds Nick Fraccalvieri, who led Aon’s facultative reinsurance business in EMEA for three years and was named Global CEO of Facultative Reinsurance in March, according to an Aon statement. Reid will be based in London and report to Tomas Novotny, EMEA CEO and International Chairman for Reinsurance, and Fraccalvieri as part of the global facultative leadership team.

Reid joins Aon from Sompo, where he served as Head of U.K. Property and Casualty. He brings nearly 30 years of insurance industry experience, including leadership of underwriting teams and portfolios across U.K. commercial insurance, international wholesale and specialty lines.
