WTW (London), a global advisory, broking, and solutions company, has announced the appointment of Benjamin Williams as Director of Property and Casualty Pricing and Analytics within its Insurance Consulting and Technology (ICT) business.
Based in Chicago and reporting directly to Laura Doddington, Head of Personal Lines, North America, ICT, Williams will primarily be focused on the creation and effective deployment of analytics and predictive modeling within organizations. Williams will additionally lead a team of consultants focused on identifying and presenting significant insights to clients, as well as deploying WTW’s proprietary tools to help insurers analyze data, employ data-driven decisions, and implement those strategic decisions within the market.
“I am delighted to have the opportunity to bring Ben back to WTW, where he previously spent nine years in our New York and Spain offices,” comments Doddington. “His unique skillset around technical applications and predictive analytics will help us in accelerating both training internal analysts to develop similar skills, while concurrently focusing on helping insurers deploy analytical solutions to improve performance and build a better experience for customers.”
Skilled Practitioner
A technical specialist in predictive analytics and related platforms, Williams previously held various internal consulting roles with Liberty and Allianz in both New Zealand and Europe. After moving to the U.S., he joined WTW and quickly developed into a skilled practitioner of WTW’s market-leading insurance software, where he coached clients on the software’s functionality while simultaneously training internal specialists to become experts themselves, according to a WTW statement. After his time at WTW, he departed to join United Fore Group, an Iowa-based Commercial Lines Insurer, where he led the analytics team, and has now decided to rejoin WTW.
