Elaine Zhou, CTO, Vidado.

Vidado’s announcement characterizes Zhou’s transition from SVP of Engineering to CTO as acknowledging the increasing sophistication of Vidado’s customer base and recognition of a desire to collaborate on successful technical strategies. “Zhou has distinguished herself through an ability to translate Vidado’s technically-complex platform into tangible business value for customers,” the announcement says. In her new role, Zhou will spend more time with Vidado’s largest customers helping to refine technical strategies, while also keeping Vidado at the forefront of applied artificial intelligence (AI), the vendor reports.

“Vidado is at a breakthrough stage of growth,” commments Zhou. “As CTO, I will continue to set Vidado’s technology and product vision by working even closer with our customers to make sure our technology strategy best serves their objectives. In addition, I will continue to own technical strategy, the engineering roadmap, the platform, and technical design direction, as well as our development and delivery methodology. Above all, my most important responsibility continues to be to hire, build, mentor, and develop the great technical team we have at Vidado.”

Zhou has extensive experience developing and bringing cutting-edge enterprise software to market, having held a variety of positions with increasing responsibility over the last 25 years, working on initiatives ranging from banking technology to social networks.
