Phoenix-based program administrator Universal Insurance Programs (UIP) has announced a partnership with INSTANDA(London) to streamline the organization’s operations to improve speed to market for product enhancements and additions within its niche insuring tanning salons, salons, day spas and self-storage facilities, according to a statement from the vendor.

Jenny Bortman, President, Universal Insurance Programs.

INSTANDA says its no-code insurance technology will enable UIP to make real-time updates to its products and integrate third-party technologies to ease the process and enrich the experience for their brokers and insureds.

“Universal Insurance Programs continues to evolve to ease the insurance process in line with our mission ‘to give peace of mind—made easy’ for our clients within our specialty, as well as for the brokers and carriers with whom we partner,” comments Jenny Bortman, president, UIP. “Our partnership with INSTANDA is an investment in the future, allowing us to have more autonomy over our platform and bring the best to our team, clients, broker partners and carriers in terms of products, service and user experience.”

Tim Hardcastle, CEO, INSTANDA.

Using INSTANDA’s digital platform, UIP plans to introduce an improved broker portal with a streamlined submission process and online quoting, the vendor statement says. At the same time, UIP’s insureds will enjoy improvements at the front-end including access to quotes, financing and invoicing in one platform, according to the statement. UIP writes products nationwide primarily, but not exclusively, on a non-admitted basis.

Empowering UIP during Growth Trajectory

“Universal Insurance Programs is on an exciting growth trajectory requiring enabled, integrated technology that they can control on their own and in real time,” comments Tim Hardcastle, CEO and co-founder, INSTANDA. “We look forward to the role our digital platform will play in empowering UIP to better serve their specialty.”
