Unified Life Insurance Enjoys Rapid Deployment of Claims, Auto-Adjudication Systems by Aldera

The health insurance carrier’s trust in the core system vendor’s flexibility and expertise was vindicated by an implementation completed within six months.

Unified Life Insurance Company (ULIC) Overland Park, Ks.) has deployed Aldera’s (Lisle, Ill.) claims processing and auto-adjudication solutions. The vendor executed the implementation within six months for ULIC, which is licensed to provide health insurance in 49 states and Washington, D.C., has more than 30,000 medical members.

“We turned to Aldera because it was the only health plan core administration software provider that had both the flexibility to provide us exactly what our business needed and the implementation expertise to do so in our very tight time-frame,” comments Kevin Dill, president, ULIC. “To complete this implementation in less than six months is a testament to the quality of Aldera’s team and the strength of its software.”

Given ULIC’s management of more than 1,000 benefit plans, the company’s needs represented a unique opportunity to demonstrate the adaptability of Aldera’s payer platform, according to Darin LeGrange, the vendor’s president and CEO. “Whether supporting customers’ internal needs, like ULIC’s, or addressing external factors, like the Affordable Care Act, Aldera has continually proven its ability to guide health plans to success in a challenging marketplace,” he comments.
