Tropics Debuts Tropics Breeze 6 Workers’ Compensation System Suite

Enhancements include efficiency improvements, streamlined access to information and web portal updates.

Tropics, a Sarasota, Fla.-based subsidiary of Insurity (Hartford) and software company specializing in workers’ compensation systems, today announced the availability of Tropics Breeze 6.

The new version of Tropics Breeze introduces new new features and efficiency improvements across the entire policy administration, billing, claims, and portal software suite, including Activity Center which showcases a new user interface offering a consolidated view for notes, tasks, emails and associated documents, according to a vendor statement. Tropics calls the feature unique to the market, and asserts that it will streamline access to frequently entered and reviewed information across the entire system.

Tropics Breeze 6 also includes improvements to its self-service web portals, agency management, and loss control sub-systems, the vendor reports. The new release includes several new modules, including a reinsurance treaty tracking module which supports retention, limit of liability, aggregate limit of liability, and aggregate retention. It also brings to market a new collections module for tracking and managing cancelled insureds with overdue balances, according to Tropics.

From a technical perspective, Tropics Breeze 6 adds support for the latest Microsoft .NET Framework, Microsoft SQL Server 2014, and Microsoft Office 365 integration, the Vendor reports.
