Tinkoff Online Insurance, a direct-to-consumer carrier and part of TCS Group Holding plc, has gone into production on the Guidewire Insurance Suite. The Moscow-based insurer will use Guidewire’s technology for underwriting, rating and policy administration, claims management and billing. The insurer has also licensed Guidewire’s Rating Management and Client Data Management Modules.

“We believe that having all three systems from the same vendor in an integrated suite is a tremendous benefit for us,” comments Fedor Voronin, chief operating officer, Tinkoff Online Insurance. “Guidewire PolicyCenter, BillingCenter and ClaimCenter are strong as individual systems but together they provide even more benefits for us, including flexibility for business growth and enhanced customer service capabilities.”

Tinkoff Online’s implementation began in September 2013 and first went live in February 2014, according to a Guidewire statement. The carrier is currently using Insurance Suite for personal property, personal accident and travel lines of business.

Among the benefits of the Guidewire Suite are the following capabilities, according to the vendor statement:

  • Bringing new products to market quickly, in support of efficient and profitable growth;
  • The development and execution of best practices for customer service delivery;
  • Business growth on a flexible, upgradeable technology platform;
  • Greater operational efficiency through automation across underwriting, policy administration, billing and claims management processes.
