The Hartford Adopts CAPE Analytics for Commercial Lines

The insurer began using CAPE’s technology to support underwriting speed and efficiency in personal lines in Aug. 2019.

The Hartford (Hartford, Conn.) has expanded its relationship with CAPE Analytics (Mountain View, Calif.), adopting the technology to support underwriting speed and efficiency for the carrier’s commercial business. The Hartford has been using CAPE in personal lines since Aug. 2019.

CAPE Analytics’ describes its property intelligence solution as being derived by applying cutting-edge computer vision and machine learning algorithms to geospatial imagery. The vendor says it offers comprehensive and accurate imagery-based intelligence at the time of submission, with the speed and scale necessary to fundamentally improve underwriting processes.
