The Commonwell Mutual Insurance Group (Lindsay, Ontario), a provider of residential, automobile, farm, and commercial insurance products has selected Guidewire Software (Foster City, Calif.) Core and Data products as part of a systems modernization and business transformation initiative.
The Commonwell was founded three years ago as the result of a merger of three longstanding mutual insurance companies with more than a century of what a company statement describes as a hands-on commitment to the local communities it serves. The new company operates on the same historical premise of its three legacy companies, maintaining a focus on local presence and service that builds strong long-term relationships for the benefit of the greater community, the statement says. As a new entity, the company is seeking to transform its systems and business processes.
Guidewire reports that the Commonwell has selected Guidewire InsuranceSuite, Client Data Management, Rating Management, and Reinsurance Management as its policy administration, underwriting, client data, rating, reinsurance, claims, and billing management platform. The insurer also selected Guidewire DataHub and InfoCenter as its enterprise data management and analytics solution. The Commonwell plans to implement all of the products at the same time, across all of its commercial and personal lines of business in the province of Ontario.
