TechCanary, the Milwaukee-based provider of a cloud-based Insurance Platform build on Salesforce, today debuted its professional service subsidiary CanaryServices, following its acquisition of Terminus Consulting Corp (Atlanta). TechCanary made the acquisition to meet demand for professional services assistance corresponding to a rapidly growing client base.

Ricky Lopez, VP, TechCanary.

A TechCanary statement characterizes Terminus as an ideal foundation for the creation of CanaryServices, having a team of senior IT professionals with demonstrated expertise in the insurance industry with Salesforce. CanaryServices is based in TechCanary’s home office in Milwaukee will provide services throughout North America under the leadership of Bo Brown, COO, and Ricky Lopez, VP, founder of Terminus.

Brown has over two decades of insurance industry experience, including professional services and implementations, according to TechCanary.  He was most recently CIO at Rampart, a large agency located in Long Island, New York.  Earlier in his career, Brown worked at ImageRight/Vertafore and prior to that as Director of IT at insurance carriers. He was also a principle consultant at Premier Network Consultants working with insurance agencies and carriers.

Lopez has a similar record of success in insurance technologies across a variety of insurance operations, from carriers to MGAs to agencies, including five years working with ImageRight/Vertafore, according to TechCanary.  Most recently, Lopez was the founder and principal consultant at the acquired Terminus, where he helped insurance companies implement and build custom solutions on the Salesforce platform. Lopez also spent time with Cohesive Solutions where he was a solution architect for IBM’s enterprise asset management product, leading large technical projects for companies such as ESPN and GE Capital.

Reid Holzworth, CEO, TechCanary.

“As a rapidly growing software company in the insurance industry, we felt it was critical to ensure that we had a separate organization in place to focus on the professional services side of the business to enable us to continue to support our growth trajectory, but without compromising our marketing and sales, research and development, and customer support standards,” comments Reid Holzworth, CEO, TechCanary. “CanaryServices’ sole responsibility is to service and support our customers to ensure they are deriving maximum value from their investment in TechCanary.”
