TATV Adopts Guidewire Products to Drive Efficiency and Support Growth

Touring Assurances/Verzekeringen (TATV) a Brussels-based direct insurer, has implemented Guidewire PolicyCenter as its new underwriting and policy administration system, and Guidewire BillingCenter to manage its billing operations. The insurer has also deployed Guidewire DataHub and Guidewire InfoCenter as its data management and business intelligence solutions, the vendor reports. Guidewire PartnerConnect Consulting partners, EY (London) and Sollers Consulting (Warsaw) are supporting the deployment.

TATV chose Guidewire Core and Data products as part of a strategic initiative to optimize process and operational efficiency, as well as to support business growth, according to Guidewire (Foster City, Calif.). The company seeks to extend its distribution channel mix, gain better customer insight and develop new product lines with affinity partners. TATV has deployed the Guidewire systems across all lines of business (motor and home) concurrently, and is now used by all business units. The insurer plans to convert existing business to the new platform upon renewal.

Among the capabilities TATV expects to enjoy from implementing th4e Guidewire Core and Data products are the following, according to a Guidewire statement:

  • Eliminate operational risk posed by legacy systems;
  • Work towards significant business growth, supported by the same staff numbers; and
  • React faster to market change with improved product and pricing flexibility.

Applying its knowledge of both the local market and Guidewire’s technology to TATV’s transformation, EY is responsible for program management,  business analysis, functional solution overview, testing, business readiness, security and release management. EY was also responsible for overall data migration, employing its proprietary NextGen Datamigration Accelerator, which is designed to reduce migration workload.

Sollers Consulting is responsible for the implementation and configuration of the Guidewire products, as well as systems integration, within the existing TATV IT architecture, Guidewire reports. Sollers’ aim is to support the implementation of sales and customer service enhancements, the improvement of customer experience, and the optimization of business processes.
