Insurance Office of America (IOA; Longwood, Fla.) has named Steve Miller as the head of its mobility and innovation group. Miller will be based in IOA’s Pleasanton, California, location.
“We are excited to have a professional of Steve’s caliber join the IOA family,” comments John Tenuto, Regional President, IOA. “His deep commitment to his clients and community soundly align with our mission and vision.”
Before joining IOA, Miller was vice president at McGriff Insurance Services (Irvine, Calif.). In his 15 years in the industry, he has become a subject matter expert in a variety of industries, including construction, food, future mobility, and technology.
“My ‘why’ is to do difficult things better than anyone else, and I’ve found kindred spirits at IOA,” comments Miller. “Here is a company willing to support and invest in new ideas. A company that recognizes our industry needs to become change, not resist it.”
A pioneer in the autonomous vehicle arena, Miller’s expertise ranges from delivery robots to semitrucks. During his career he has leveraged his coverage knowledge and carrier relationships to develop new and innovative solutions in the emerging and disruptive future mobility field, according to an IOA statement.
Deep Level of Experience
“Steve brings a deep level of experience to our western region team. He’s an industry veteran with the knowledge needed to help our clients strengthen their insurance programs in meaningful and impactful ways,” comments Heath Ritenour, Chairman and CEO, IOA.
Miller holds the certified insurance counselor (CIC) and certified risk manager (CRM) designations. He also holds a resident property and casualty license in California and nonresident licenses in over 20 states in which his clients operate.
