SPB Group Names Mathieu Sebastien CEO

Sebastien draws upon more than 20 years of experience in strategy consulting in France and Europe to lead the firm.

After being recently acquired by Paris-based BlackFin Capital Partners (100 percent shareholder), SPB Group (Le Havre, France) a European provider of affinity insurance, will place increased focus on development projects both in France and across Europe, by onboarding a new CEO, according to a statement from the company.

Named CEO on June 24, Mathieu Sebastien draws upon more than 20 years of experience in strategy consulting in France and Europe to lead the firm. Primarily focused on insurance sector clients throughout his career—most notably at Roland Berger and Oliver Wyman—he has supported several insurers, brokers, and service providers to revitalize growth, instill a culture of operational excellence, perform acquisitions, and execute complex transformation projects.

Mathieu Sebastien is tasked with executing a new strategy built upon three pillars:

  • Refocusing on customer satisfaction
  • Strengthening central functions to promote harmonization across business lines and geographies
  • Optimizing operational efficiencies

One of his priorities will be to finalize implementing SBP’s digital transformation in order to enhance user experience, according to the SBP statement.
