E-signature solution provider Silanis Technology and cloud-based core system vendor Oceanwide, both based in Montreal, have partnered to include Silanis’ SignLive™ e-signature service integrated into Oceanwide products across all commercial lines.
The first business process where Oceanwide will add e-signature capability is the new insurance application for cargo coverage for a new Oceanwide client, according to a Silanis statement. The client required e-signatures as part of its new Oceanwide policy administration system, to allow its licensed insurance specialists to send the cargo insurance application form to the end customer for e-signature. The end customer will now simply log in to the client’s portal and click-to-sign, which results in a fast and seamless digital process, Silanis claims. The vendor asserts that for this as many other P&C insurance sales, the quick process enabled e-signature is key to closing business.
“Time and again, our experience in the P&C market has shown that e-signatures dramatically impact the ease and speed of doing business, cutting what used to take weeks down to minutes and preventing customer abandonment,” comments Tommy Petrogiannis, CEO, Silanis Technology. “Our relationship with Oceanwide presents a strategic growth opportunity; across Oceanwide’s offerings, wherever documents are generated for signature, be it for quoting, policies, claims or other, our complementary cloud solutions will be working together behind the scenes to keep that process digital.”
Oceanwide identified Silanis as an electronic signature partner that could integrate seamlessly with the vendor’s cloud platform, according to Mitchell Wasserman, Oceanwide. “Silanis’ extensive experience with P&C carriers of all sizes, the e-SignLive user experience and Silanis’ experience building and maintaining a cloud e-signature solution were all decisive in forming this OEM partnership,” Wasserman says.
