Securian Financial Group (St. Paul, Minn.) has launched a tablet-friendly version of its RetirementGPS.com, which is designed to help financial advisors prepare clients for developing retirement income planning strategies. The site has been recast with responsive design to enable optimized use for any device, as well as a new retirement planning survey.
“Advisors are looking for ways to start the retirement income conversation,” comments Kerry Geurkink, manager, Individual Annuity Marketing, Securian Financial Group. “They can visit RetirementGPS.com with their clients to help them shift focus from accumulation to developing a retirement income strategy.”
The site is a component of Securian Financial’s Retirement GPS program, which is designed to support advisor conversations with clients about annuities and explore retirement concepts, including risks, such as inflation and longevity; questions to consider when developing a retirement plan; identifying sources of income for retirement; and how to keep finances on course throughout retirement, according to a Securian statement.
Tools and resources
The Securian Retirement GPS site offers financial advisors and their clients tools and resources, including the following, according to the statement:
- A survey on the page allows visitors to answer retirement questions and immediately see how their responses compare to others.
- The Destination Retirement brochure and workbook helps clients develop realistic retirement income strategies.
- The site also offers an educational Guide to Understanding Variable Annuities, which can be an important component of an individual’s retirement strategy.
“Advisors expect annuity providers to help them shape the retirement income conversation,” Geurkink adds. “RetirementGPS.com is to a great place start the conversation about preparing for financial security for the long run.”
