Safety National Replaces Key Legacy Systems with Guidewire Solutions

Through an EY-led implementation BillingCenter, DataHub, and InfoCenter will replace Safety National’s internally-developed billing management system and data warehouse.

Safety National Casualty Corporation (St. Louis), a provider of specialized insurance and reinsurance solutions has selected Guidewire Software’s (Foster City, Calif.) BillingCenter, DataHub, and InfoCenter as its new billing management, data management, and analytics systems. The insurer has chosen Guidewire PartnerConnect Consulting member Ernst & Young LLP (EY, New York) to lead the implementation. The initiative builds on Safety National’s adoption of Guidewire core systems in 2016.

BillingCenter, DataHub, and InfoCenter will replace Safety National’s internally-developed billing management system and data warehouse, a Guidewire/EY statement reports. The products will be implemented concurrently with Guidewire ClaimCenter and PolicyCenter, and will be deployed nationwide to Safety National’s excess and surplus line of business first, followed by the casualty and workers’ compensation lines of business.

The Guidewire solutions will enable Safety National to do the following, according to the joint announcement from Guidewire and EY:

  • Provide a more seamless billing process integrated with PolicyCenter and third-party systems;
  • Improve commission and payment processing;
  • Improve the ease of doing business for staff by providing them with robust operational reporting capabilities to access reports and conduct queries independently;
  • Better map and convert data through the full InsuranceSuite product line; and
  • Provide a single view of data to users across the organization, including claims, finance and underwriting.
