Safety National is implementing the products concurrently nationwide, Guidewire reports. ClaimCenter will be implemented for all lines of business in the initial phase, while PolicyCenter will be implemented for the carrier’s excess & surplus line of business. The carrier will then implement PolicyCenter for its casualty and workers’ compensation lines of business.

“We are a specialty carrier, so having a configurable system supported by a solution that enables us to stay current on industry standards appealed to us greatly,” comments Chris Griffith, CIO, Safety National. “It is excellent to be on a platform that is recognized as an insurance industry leader. By selecting Guidewire, we know we are working with a true partner and don’t have to worry that our partner doesn’t understand our business or isn’t listening to us. Guidewire has already shown that they listen to us.”

Benefits Safety National will enjoy from the ClaimCenter and PolicyCenter implementation will include the ability to do the following, according to Guidewire:

  • Leverage industry claims management best practices to obtain better visibility into claims handling operations;
  • Improve operational efficiencies and reduce overall costs by standardizing on a modern software technology platform to enrich the overall claims experience for policyholders; and
  • Bring new products and product enhancements to market more quickly.

“We welcome Safety National as a ClaimCenter and PolicyCenter customer,” comments Steve Sherry, senior vice president, Worldwide Sales, Guidewire Software. “We look forward to helping Safety National improve their business efficiencies.”
