Red River Mutual, a Winnipeg, Manitoba-based personal and commercial P&C insurer, has selected Guidewire InsuranceSuite as its underwriting, policy administration, billing and claims management platform. The carrier has also licensed the Foster City, Calif.-based vendor’s Data and Analytics products, DataHub, InfoCenter and Guidewire Live, as well as the Guidewire’s Claim Portal for Vendors. The insurer has opted for delivery via private cloud, with implementation, ongoing services and support provided by Guidewire partner Ernst & Young (EY).

By implementing Guidewire’s solutions, Red River Mutual will be able to streamlined best practice workflow capabilities, and enhanced user friendliness, according to a Guidewire statement. The technology’s highly configurability integration between modules will enable the carrier to make changes quickly, as well as deliver high levels of services to brokers and policyholders across all touch points, the vendor asserts. Also, through EY’s Insurance as a Service solution, Red River Mutual is relieved of the burden of core system management, freeing staff to concentrate on serving customers, the statement adds.
