QBE Insurance Australia, a division of QBE Insurance Group (Sydney) has deployed Guidewire Software (Foster City, Calif.) core processing, data and analytics, and digital engagement products to achieve objectives such as improved customer service, and greater agility in product creation and pricing. Ernst & Young in Australia facilitated the implementation of the Guidewire products.
QBE Australia has deployed Guidewire InsuranceSuite, Rating Management, and Client Data Management as its new platform for underwriting, rating, policy administration, claims, billing, and client data management, the vendor reports. Guidewire DataHub and InfoCenter are now supporting the insurer’s direct insurance data management and business intelligence needs. QBE has also deployed the Guidewire Quote and Buy Portal for Policyholders to offer self-service quoting capability to consumers.

Guidewire reports that its platform will enable QBE Australia to:
- Enhance operational efficiency, productivity, and customer service levels throughout the organization by standardizing policy administration, billing management, claims handling, and self-service processes on a common platform;
- Improve business agility by bringing new products and product enhancements to market more quickly; and
- Reduce the training time of its staff.
