Prudential Financial (Newark, N.J.) has named Naveen Agarwal to the newly created position of vice president and Chief Customer Officer. Agarwal will be responsible for the design and execution of what Prudential calls an integrated strategy to enhance the customer experience in the company’s U.S. businesses. Agarwal comes to Prudential from Pricelock, a leading online provider of fuel price protection for businesses, where he was CEO.
Agarwal’s brief is to create a broad customer engagement strategy, designed to deliver consistent, meaningful customer experiences and relationships, as well as shaping and executing the digital strategy for Prudential’s U.S. Businesses. Agarwal, who will join the company in December, will report to Stephen Pelletier, executive vice president and chief operating officer, U.S. Businesses. Argawal will be based at Prudential’s headquarters in Newark.
“Naveen’s deep experience in sales, marketing and technology will be invaluable as we work toward creating a transformational customer-focused engagement model at Prudential,” comments Pelletier. “His addition reflects our commitment to delivering exceptional customer experiences.”
Prior to his CEO role at Pricelock, Agarwal was president of E*TRADE Capital Management where he was responsible for growing the company’s mass affluent customer base. He earned an MBA from the University of California, Berkeley, and a bachelor’s degree in technology from the Indian Institute of Technology in Varanasi, India.
