Promutuel Insurance (Quebec City) has selected Guidewire (Foster City, Calif.) DataHub to support its enterprise-wide data management strategy. Guidewire PartnerConnect Consulting Advantage member, V-NEO (Quebec City), is leading the implementation project, with Guidewire working in close collaboration, according to the vendor. V-NEO previously worked successfully with the insurer on the deployment of Guidewire systems, including the development of an e-learning platform that uses gamification to ease the duration and cost of training employees to work with the new Guidewire systems.

Promutuel selected DataHub for more efficient data extraction and translation, conformant data consolidation, and publication to downstream systems, Guidewire says. Promutuel is planning to first integrate its policy data into DataHub and followed by claims, starting with its personal lines of business, then moving on to its commercial lines of business, with the goal of full deployment across its 17 member mutuals by 2018.

Guidewire reports that DataHub will enable Promutuel to:

• More quickly deliver mission-critical data to users;
• Better map and convert data into its new core systems; and
• Provide a single view of data to users across the organization, including claims and underwriting.

In an earlier project, Promutuel Insurance successfully deployed Guidewire PolicyCenter, Rating Management, and Reinsurance Management as its platform for underwriting, rating, reinsurance, and policy administration. The company was looking for a system to help increase its operational efficiencies and continue its ongoing business transformation initiative, building on its successful 2012 deployment of Guidewire ClaimCenter. PolicyCenter was successfully deployed to Promutuel Insurance’s commercial and farm lines of business, and is currently being implemented to its personal and surety lines of business, with the goal of full deployment in 2018.
