Plymouth Rock Assurance Corporation (Boston) has appointed Paul Measley as its Chief Claims Officer, effective immediately. Measley, who joins Plymouth Rock from GEICO (Chevy Chase, Md.), is responsible for the claims organization within Plymouth Rock’s Independent Agency business.
“Paul brings a combination of strategic claims advancement and frontline leadership, which make him a terrific match for Plymouth Rock,” comments Mary Boyd, President and CEO, Plymouth Rock Assurance Corporation. “He has experience with all facets of the claims spectrum, ranging from end-to-end resolution to talent and training to digital implementation. As our industry continues to deal with vehicle part shortages, labor delays and the rising cost of repairs, we will look to Paul to guide Plymouth Rock and ensure that we are delivering the best claims experience possible for our customers. I’m thrilled to have him join the team.”
Measley spent nearly 30 years at GEICO in various leadership roles, largely within the claims organization. Most recently, he had responsibility for developing and leading aspects of GEICO’s corporate claims strategy, including digital claims, systems, first notice of loss, personal injury protection, subrogation, training and auditing. Prior to that role, he oversaw several large claims offices for GEICO across the southwestern U.S.
Unique Opportunity to Seek out New Efficiencies
“This is a challenging time for any auto insurance claims team,” says Measley. “But it also provides a unique opportunity to seek out new efficiencies, improve processes and find better ways to resolve our customers’ claims as quickly and painlessly as we can. I’m very excited to be joining Plymouth Rock and look forward to continuing the work of the team to provide More Than Just Insurance to our customers.”
