Pioneer State Mutual Insurance, a Flint, Mich.-based carrier offering personal and commercial lines products, has selected Duck Creek Policy (Columbia, S.C.) to replace its legacy policy administration system. Chosen because of its ease of integration, Duck Creek Policy will replace a sunsetted policy system, according to the vendor.

Duck Creek reports that implementation of Duck Creek Policy will enable Pioneer State Mutual to manage its entire customer lifecycle with a seamless back-end experience. The insurer plans to employ an on-premises install of Duck Creek Policy, which the vendor says can easily be coupled to Pioneer State Mutual’s existing front-end system.

Pioneer State Mutual, which uses the motto ‘Insuring Michigan,’ is dedicated to providing the state with the highest quality insurance products, according to Tony Paris, VP and CIO, Pioneer State Mutual. “Duck Creek fully appreciates our core value of focusing on the surrounding community, and will work quickly and efficiently to replace our outdated policy system,” Paris comments. “The integration of Duck Creek’s technology is strategic because it allows our customers to maintain the user interface they are comfortable with while enhancing back-end performance with a headless and efficient configuration.”

Duck Creek Policy, Duck Creek Billing, and Duck Creek Rating software are part of an integrated suite that also includes Duck Creek Claims. The vendor says that its configurable software is designed to work independently or as part of a combined approach to manage all aspects of the P&C insurance lifecycle. The software can be deployed on premises or via Duck Creek OnDemand, a cloud delivery model.

Fitting With Existing Customer Interface
