Origami Risk (Chicago), a provider of risk, safety and insurance SaaS solutions, has announced senior-level appointments in its Core Solutions division, naming Chris Bennett as Chief Strategy Officer and Mike Kaplan as President. The appointments position the division to sustain its accelerated growth in serving insurers, managing general agents (MGAs), program administrators, third party claims administrators (TPAs), risk pools, and brokers, according to an Origami Risk Statement. The executive appointment news comes days after Origami Risk’s acquisition of Dais.

Expanded Role in Division’s Growth & Development
When Origami established the Core Solutions division in 2019, Bennett became its president and quickly oversaw the division’s rapid expansion. With Kaplan now assuming all operational responsibilities as president, Bennett will have an expanded role guiding the division’s growth and development. This includes building new capabilities and solution sets to address the dynamic and evolving needs of a diverse clientele. Bennett has been a prominent leader in risk management and insurance technology and has nearly three decades of experience in client service, sales and product management.
Thirty-Year Veteran
Kaplan joins Origami with 30 years of experience in operations, professional services, customer success, and change management, including more than 10 years in various leadership positions with Salesforce. Previously, he was Chief Customer Officer at Integrate. He has also held management positions at ExactTarget (acquired by Salesforce), and Oracle, and co-founded Acuite Consulting Solutions, which worked with Fortune 1000 companies throughout the U.S. and Canada.
