OneShield Market Solutions, the newly acquired solution of OneShield Inc. (Marlboro, Mass.), has introduced to its core system offerings a cloud-based self-service portal for insurers to rapidly handle submissions, quoting, incident intake and general policy and claim inquiries. OneShield Market Solutions provides niche insurance providers such as MGAs and regional carriers with core system insurance software delivered in the cloud.
Introduced with the goal of extending self-service capabilities, 24/7 availability and ease of use to agents and insureds, according to the vendor, the portal enables individuals to take charge of their insurance needs, while also offering a wide variety of benefits to both agents and insureds.

Among the benefits of the portal for agents is submission management for all P&C lines of business, including the following functionality:
- Quick quote: using default program values for minimal data entry
- Full quote: extension to include additional underwriting rating components
- Automated underwriting rules and edits
- Proposal generation
- Email clearance and notification to underwriting
Agents also benefit from policy processing automation (payroll uploads, online payments) and claim reporting, with scripted interviews to report incidents across all lines of business

- Obtain PDF versions of processed forms related to inforce policies
