New Mexico Mutual Group (Albuquerque), the state’s leading workers’ compensation carrier, has selected Guidewire (Foster City, Calif.) PolicyCenter as its new underwriting and policy administration solution. The carrier has also licensed Guidewire Rating Management and Guidewire Client Data Management.
New Mexico Mutual Group is currently implementing PolicyCenter as part of a modernization initiative aimed. The insurer deployed Guidewire ClaimCenter in 2006 and BillingCenter in 2008, and seeks now to take advantage of the built-in best practices and real-time functionality of the vendor’s core policy admin system.
“PolicyCenter will give New Mexico Mutual Group the ability to get to market faster, and improve service excellence to our customers and independent broker network” comments Ryan Inzenga, CPCU, Underwriting Manager, New Mexico Mutual Group. “We have partnered with Guidewire for the better part of a decade and we’re looking forward to continuing that relationship and standardizing our core systems on Guidewire InsuranceSuite.”
Vast Range of Benefits
PolicyCenter will help New Mexico Mutual Group improve service levels for customers and brokers due to increased operational efficiencies, and to leverage automated underwriting rules and real-time functionality to optimize risk assessment, according to Guidewire.
“From a technical perspective, we’re excited at the prospect of having a fully integrated core system suite in place,” says Tim Thackaberry, director, IT, New Mexico Mutual Group. “Additionally, with PolicyCenter we have a modern system with market-leading configuration capabilities, giving us the potential for a vast number of technical and business benefits.”
