The National Association of Mutual Insurance Companies (NAMIC; Indianapolis) and Xceedance (Fort Lauderdale, Fla.) have launched the NAMIC Virtual Estimating Program Powered by Xceedance.

Neil Alldredge, President and CEO, NAMIC.

The NAMIC-endorsed program is designed to help mutual insurers improve estimate quality, reduce turnaround times and expand estimating capacity across residential property, auto physical damage and farm equipment claims, according to a joint statement.

Available to NAMIC member companies, the co-branded offering combines AI-enabled technology with Xceedance-employed adjusters to produce carrier-compliant estimates in less than 48 hours.

The companies say the program is intended to address rising claim severity, policyholder expectations, workforce constraints and demand for faster claims resolution.

“We’re excited to partner with a longtime sponsor, Xceedance, on this innovative program,” comments Neil Alldredge, President and CEO, NAMIC. “The Virtual Estimating Program offers NAMIC members the best of both state-of-the-art AI technology and valuable human expertise for a more accurate and efficient claims process.”

AI-Enabled Estimating

The program uses AI-enabled technology to support scope development, repair identification, documentation review and quality checks. Experienced adjusters validate each estimate against carrier-specific requirements.

The companies say the model is designed to improve speed and consistency while maintaining governance, quality and control throughout the claims process.

The program is intended to help insurers improve estimate accuracy and consistency, reduce supplements and revisions, lower claim handling costs and improve policyholder experience through faster resolution.

“Mutual insurers are looking for ways to improve estimating performance while managing costs and responding to policyholders more quickly,” comments Travis MacMillian, President, Americas, Xceedance. “Through this program, NAMIC members gain access to dedicated estimating expertise, flexible capacity, and technology that supports faster, more consistent claims estimates while maintaining carrier standards.”

The program supports residential property, auto physical damage and farm equipment claims, giving mutual insurers scalable estimating capacity that can adjust to changing claim volumes.

NAMIC represents more than 1,300 property/casualty insurance companies. Xceedance provides AI, analytics, software and insurance operations services for insurers, reinsurers, mutuals, program administrators, brokers and agents.
