Mutual of Enumclaw Insurance, a regional property/casualty carrier company based in Enumclaw, Wash., is partnering with Roost, a Sunnyvale, Calif.-based provider of home telematics solutions to the property/casualty insurance industry, to launch a pilot program offering free Roost Smart Water Leak and Freeze Detectors to select new and existing policyholders.
Mutual of Enumclaw expects to help policyholders better mitigate the cost and inconvenience of water leak-related claims as well as strengthening engagement with members through a mobile app co-branded to Roost and the insurer. “Whether through the latest technology, the quality of our core offerings, or strong and reliable communication, we are always looking for the best ways to meet the needs of our members at their doorstep,” comments Jason Murdock, Customer Experience and Social Media Manager, Mutual of Enumclaw.
Co-Branded Smartphone App
The detectors sense water leaks, humidity and freezing temperatures at key points in the home such as sinks, water heaters, toilets and appliances. The devices are Wi-Fi enabled and send alerts to policyholders via the Roost and Mutual of Enumclaw co-branded smartphone app, which also includes severe weather alerts and home service pro access.
“By employing the leading Home Telematics solution, [Mutual of Enumclaw] is able to use Roost smart sensors and our 24×7 notification platform to give a new level of protection to policyholders,” comments Roel Peeters, co-founder and CEO of Roost.
