The property/casualty carrier, which serves more than 58,000 policyholders in Pennsylvania and Maryland, distributes personal and commercial lines coverage through a network of more than 300 independent agents. The move to digital payments reflects MBG’s focus on improving efficiency and supporting flexible options for policyholders at the point of claim.

“A claim is the moment of truth for any insurance policy,” says Shannon Davis, VP Claims, Mutual Benefit Group. “Securing quick, efficient payment options allows our policyholders to begin the restoration process quickly by receiving payment in the manner they choose.”

Davis adds, “Mutual Benefit is excited about our partnership with One Inc because it enhances our ability to deliver the MBG Experience. One Inc was the clear frontrunner for us due to its history of working with insurance carriers and its wide array of payment offerings.”

With ClaimsPay, MBG policyholders can now receive payments through digital platforms such as Venmo and PayPal, as well as via direct deposit. The implementation also provides MBG with access to One Inc’s Vendor-Provider Network, which includes more than 1.1 million vendors and service providers. According to One Inc, the network supports over 290 insurance carriers across the U.S.

“As consumer expectations continue to evolve rapidly, it is essential that carriers have access to the right technologies to meet those needs and remain competitive,” says Ian Drysdale, CEO, One Inc. “We are honored to support Mutual Benefit Group in delivering a more modern payment experience for policyholders.”
