Mutual Assurance Society of Va. Modernizes on ISCS SurePower Innovation

Mutual Assurance’s goals for the modernization initiative include eliminating the costs associated with maintaining and modifying its legacy system, eliminating risk, improving internal efficiency and enhancing customer experience.

Mutual Assurance Society of Virginia (Richmond, Va.) ISCS’s (San Jose, Calif.) cloud-based enterprise suite, SurePower Innovation, to replace a 40-year-old legacy core administration system and achieve higher levels of customer service and greater product speed-to-market, according to a vendor statement. The residential property insurer will deploy the system as a complete, managed SaaS solution via ISCS’s SurePackage deployment option.

Mutual Assurance’s goals for the modernization initiative include eliminating the costs associated with maintaining and modifying its legacy system, eliminating risk, improving internal efficiency and enhancing customer experience over multiple policyholder touchpoints, the vendor reports. The ISCS SurePackage deployment option will also benefit the carrier in terms of scalability in its capacity to respond to policyholder needs during catastrophe events.

ISCS describes SurePower Innovation as a modern technology platform on which insurers can automate much more than core (policy, billing and claims), including reinsurance, business intelligence, insurance accounting, payables, document management, producer/commission management, and agent/consumer portals. The vendor touts what it calls the highly-scalable, configurable nature of SurePower Innovation as delivering increased agility and enhanced business continuity/disaster recovery capabilities when the suite, or its components, are delivered as a complete managed SaaS solution via ISCS’s SurePackage deployment option.
