MS&AD Insurance Group (Tokyo) has promoted Brian Botkin to International CUO, expanding the MSIG USA executive’s responsibilities across the group’s global insurance operations.
Botkin currently serves as CUO, MSIG USA (New York), where he leads enterprise underwriting strategy. The company says he has worked with business leaders to align underwriting strategy with growth objectives and expand the use of data and analytics in underwriting decisions.
In his new role, Botkin will help oversee underwriting strategy, governance and portfolio management across MS&AD’s international operations. The company says the appointment comes as it expands its international specialty capabilities and seeks greater coordination of underwriting expertise across its businesses.

MSIG USA says Botkin’s promotion also reflects the U.S. operation’s role within MS&AD’s global strategy and the group’s efforts to share underwriting talent and capabilities across its international businesses.
