MMG Insurance began its business transformation journey to replace its core legacy systems and modernize its agent-facing portal to support future growth plans. In 2016, the company selected and implemented Majesco P&C Core Suite inclusive of policy, billing and claims as a foundational component replacing its legacy system. Majesco reports that MMG was an early beta customer for Digital1st Insurance, providing valuable feedback that has evolved the platform.

MMG Insurance has grown from offering personal lines products to a variety of commercial products tailored to protect small-to-medium-sized businesses. Founded over 120 years ago, MMG expresses a committed to superior service, innovation, technology, community involvement, ease of doing business and offering its independent agency partners and customers the unique options they need and deserve. The company has received awards including the 2018 Business Rules Excellence Winner, 2019 NAMIC Award in Innovation, 2020 Company of the Year in Maine by the Maine Insurance Agents Association for the ninth time.

“As a long-term client of Majesco, we understand and share their drive for innovation and transformation,” comments Stacy Shaw, SVP, CIO, MMG. “Our early involvement as a beta client provided us the insight of how we could effectively use the digital platform to continue our business transformation, in this case with our agent portal.  We’re thrilled to be extending our partnership and leveraging the next-gen capabilities of Majesco Digital1st Insurance Platform which now allows our agents to rapidly complete quotes and seamlessly transfer information to Majesco Policy for P&C without any assistance, significantly making it easier to do business with MMG.  This is just another step on our transformation journey.”

Majesco describes Digital1st Insurance as a cloud-native, microservices and open API solution that provides a powerful digital experience, no code/low code and outside-in platform with a robust ecosystem of partner apps that can be leveraged through a wide variety of use cases ranging from high-fidelity portals over core systems to well-rounded omni-channel and omni-device customer and agent experiences enriched through heterogenous capabilities available through APIs and is pre-integrated with Majesco P&C Core Suite.

“We’re excited to deepen our partnership and are confident our mutual dedication to innovative insurance business solutions is key to helping MMG take advantage of market growth opportunities and differentiate themselves in the market,” says Manish Shah, President and Chief Product Officer, Majesco. “Majesco Digital1st is yet another step in MMG’s business transformation journey to enable optimized operations, product innovation, speed to market, and new digital experiences that will keep them ahead of competition.”
