Mission Underwriting Managers (Scottsdale, Ariz.), a technology-driven property/casualty insurance platform that provides entrepreneurial opportunities to underwriting teams, has selected Origami Risk (Chicago) as its technology partner focusing on underwriting and policy administration solutions for its clientele of program administrators.

Origami will work in collaboration with Mission’s team to help the firm’s clients accelerate speed to market, drive efficiency and enhance performance, according to an Origami statement. “With a versatile solution set, experienced design and implementation team and high-quality support services, Origami delivers tailored configurations that accommodate a variety of business models and facilitate streamlined underwriting and automated policy administration, “the statement says.

As commercial risks have grown more varied and complex, the insurance marketplace has become increasingly fragmented, creating exciting opportunities for the proliferation of new and specialized insurance providers, according to Keith Higdon, CEO, Mission Underwriters. “Newly formed program administrators need the infrastructure, reinsurance industry relationships and logistical support we provide to launch their business along with Origami’s versatile technology and expertise to get their products to market faster and more efficiently,” he says.

“Advancements in technology are constant; what’s new today is outdated tomorrow,” says Alex Williams, chief digital officer, Mission Underwriters. “Having a strategic platform partner such as Origami enables us to focus on customer needs through a digitally enabled, quick to market insurance solution.”
