Millers Mutual Insurance, a Harrisburg, Pa.-based insurer focused on multifamily housing, commercial real estate and affordable housing in five Eastern states and the District of Columbia, has deployed Majesco’s (Morristown, N.J.) Insurance Data & Analytics Platform including Majesco Enterprise Data Warehouse (EDW) and Majesco Business Analytics (MBA) solutions. Majesco and Millers Mutual Insurance partnered on the data mapping, data corrections, data validations and customizations to migrate 10 years of detailed data from multiple legacy and modern policy, billing, claims and reinsurance systems to the Majesco Enterprise Data Warehouse that was then made available to the Majesco Business Analytics solution, the vendor reports.

Larry Fortin, CIO, Millers Mutual.

“Millers Mutual Insurance is focused on becoming a mature, data-driven insurance company and we looked to the Majesco Insurance Data & Analytics Platform to set the foundation for our current and future business intelligence needs,” comments Larry Fortin, CIO, Millers Mutual.

The first of two implementation phases included Millers Mutual Insurance’s multiple policy, billing and claims system data and was completed in 12 months. The second phase, completed within five months, covered all quote and reinsurance data.  The overall implementation involved data clean-up and development of over 60 reports and 5 dashboards specific to the insurers’ business. Millers Mutual Insurance undertook the creation of many of the reports by leveraging Majesco’s business user capabilities.

True Partnership

“Millers Mutual Insurance is a perfect template on how to implement a successful Enterprise Data Warehouse and Analytics platform,” asserts Mallinath Sengupta, global EVP of Services and Support, Majesco. “Through a true partnership, both companies were able to combine their areas of expertise and address each challenge with united effort, driven by Millers data and analytics business strategies, goals and objectives. The project included business and IT resources which made the final deliverable to meet 100 percent the business expectations with a full understanding of how to best interact with their data.”

The vendor describes Majesco Insurance Data and Analytics as a powerful, data-driven platform that integrates, organizes and uncovers strategic insights using internal and external data sources, helping insurers translate all of their data into transformational insights and actionable intelligence so that they can meet the demands of their business today and tomorrow. By providing the foundation on which insurers can build their artificial intelligence roadmap, taking advantage of clients’ historical and current data in a way that’s both secure and easy to access, Majesco puts business insights directly in the hands of the business and can run in an on-premise, cloud hosted or hybrid platform, a vendor statement says.  Majesco reports that it currently has 10 clients in production and more in earlier stages of engagement.
