The MGIS Companies, a Salt Lake City-based program manager has selected Unirisx’s Insurance Solution Suite for policy administration, underwriting and new business processing. Through the implementation, MGIS, which provides specialized insurance solutions, including group disability, group life, and medical-professional liability insurance products, for physicians and medical groups, will be able to manage and expand product lines and distribution capabilities on a single processing platform, according a joint statement.
MGIS evaluated over 30 vendors and their solutions during the selection process. The Unirisx Insurance Solution Suite met the company’s technology platform criteria, schedule and budget, and was able to deliver required features and functionality on a single platform for both commercial P&C products and group benefits. MGIS sees the Unirisx solution as capable of supporting its brand focus on high service standards as well as enabling rapid line-of-business growth.
“We conducted a comprehensive internal evaluation process to determine not only our current, but our future needs,” comments Jeff Brunken, president of MGIS. “By matching up strategic business and growth goals against current IT infrastructure, we determined the highest priority for MGIS right now was finding and implementing a solution which can serve as a single platform for both commercial P&C and group benefits, while enabling us to enhance service capability and scale as needed for future growth.”
