MAS Transforms Core with EIS Group Multiline Platform

The New Zealand mutual insurer of medical and other professionals will migrate its legacy life and disability, personal and commercial core systems to the new platform.

MAS (Wellington), New Zealand’s mutual insurer to medical professionals and provider of personal, commercial, life and disability insurance products, has selected EIS Group (San Francisco) as its new core and digital business platform provider. EIS Group says its solutions will be used for quoting, policy administration, billing, claims, and customer management and engagement and provide MAS with a single, cloud-based platform supporting integrated, next-geneneration digital customer experiences, as part of a core replacement and transformation initiative.

MAS provides financial services to more than 85 percent of medical professionals in New Zealand, and more than 30,000 Members across medical, dental, veterinarian, legal, accounting, architectural and engineering professions, according to internal membership data and market share data from the Medical Council of New Zealand Register.

Utilizing EIS Group’s ability to support multi-line, multi-segment business on a single digitally-enabled platform, MAS will migrate its legacy life and disability, personal and commercial core systems to the new platform, the vendor reports. EIS touts its differentiation from other core system vendors through the EIS platform’s simultaneous support of life and disability and personal and commercial products.

MAS plans to deploy the EIS Suite solution’s core and digital applications, PolicyCore, BillingCore, and ClaimCore, CustomerCore CEM and DXP, which the vendor describes as being fully integrated, to gain end-to-end business capabilities that support digital enablement at every customer touchpoint. The transformation initiative is designed to support the insurer’s strategic objective to provide fast, reliable and cost-effective insurance products and experiences to all members, including the next generation.
