Majesco Appoints its First Two Distinguished Engineers

Sameer Karode and Geogy Abraham are charged with leading the vendor’s technical community and drive continued growth and success within the organization.

Majesco (Morristown, N.J.), a global provider of cloud insurance platform software for insurance business transformation, has announced the appointment of its first Distinguished Engineers: Sameer Karode, Distinguished Engineer, Products, and Geogy Abraham, Distinguished Engineer, Services. Both will be charged with leading the technical community at Majesco and leverage their expertise to help drive continued growth and success within the organization, according to a Majesco statement.

Sameer Karode has been with Majesco for 25 years and is the creator and principal architect of Majesco’s billing solution. Since 2017, he has led the vendor’s P&C Suite of products and helped Majesco secure market leading positions for the P&C solutions in several analyst reports, according to the vendor statement. Geogy Abraham brings over 25 years of experience in IT across domains including Health Care, ERP, Financial Services, and Insurance. He has led the product engineering function since 2015, and most recently taken on Majesco’s L&AH Delivery organization in India.

Majesco notes that Sameer and Geogy bring decades of experience to both the industry and the company’s team. “As Majesco continues to drive growth and innovation, their comprehensive skill set will be invaluable to establishing sound architectural guidelines and best practices for developing, implementing and supporting Majesco products,” the Majesco statement says. “They will be key in identifying redundancies and roadblocks to developer productivity—setting the stage for more innovation, speed and quality in 2023. Additionally, they will leverage their deep understanding of Majesco products to assist in customer implementation projects to ensure our solutions are meeting the specific needs of our clients.”
