Longbrook Insurance (London) has appointed Tanya Golikova Head of North America Tax Liability, strengthening its U.S. transactional liability insurance offering.
Golikova joins Longbrook from AIG, where she was an underwriting leader in tax, with a focus on renewable tax credits and M&A-related products, according to a Longbrook statement. She brings 11 years of tax experience, including prior work as an M&A manager at PwC New York, where she advised on tax aspects of domestic and cross-border transactions.
Longbrook launched its transactional liability offering in April, providing solutions for mergers and acquisitions globally, including representations and warranties insurance—also known as warranty and indemnity insurance—and tax liability insurance.

In June, the company launched Longbrook US Opco LLC, a U.S.-based insurance brokerage, to facilitate U.S. insurance placements on an excess and surplus lines basis.

Longbrook says its transactional liability business is supported by long-term underwriting capacity, giving clients and brokers access to specialist underwriting expertise and a secure, highly rated balance sheet.

Longbrook says additional product lines, including energy, renewables and title insurance, are expected to follow later this year.
