“I am thrilled to be joining the fantastic leadership team Ed Kelly has built at AAIS,” comments Rippley. “I look forward to working with our member companies, revitalizing our commercial lines and farm and ag programs, building on AAIS’s strong reputation, and providing greater value for our industry.”

Rippley, whose career in the insurance industry spans more than 25 years, joined AAIS from Fireman’s Fund Ins. Co. (Novato, Calif.), where she had been commercial lines vice president and western zone leader based in the company’s Chicago office since July 2012. In that capacity, she had been responsible for field underwriting operations for small business, middle market, admitted excess, and highly-protected risks in the largest grossing revenue zone in the company. Previously, Rippley held positions of increasing responsibility at The Hanover, General Casualty, Crum & Forster, The Hartford, Liberty Mutual/Wausau, and Travelers.

AAIS maintains forms and manuals for more than 25 programs of personal, commercial, agricultural, and inland marine insurance. It also maintains the AAIS Underwriting Platform, a cloud-based application for underwriting and rating policies based on AAIS programs.
