BillingCenter’s configurability will help La Capital to improve its billing capabilities in step with customer and distributor demand and provide a new offering over the web, according to a Guidewire statement. The carrier will deploy BillingCenter for P&C, with La Capital General Insurance the first to go live.

“We were looking to consolidate the current systems we were using across our companies to a single system that would unify all our disparate billing processes and approaches for our policyholders and distribution partners,” comments Éric Marcoux, senior director, IT, La Capitale. “BillingCenter, as a highly configurable system, is very intuitive and will make our system replacement process go more quickly and smoothly.”

Specific benefits that La Capitale will enjoy include the following, according to the vendor:

  • Provide even faster response times and more flexibility to customers and distribution partners;
  • Tailor payment practices and methods to customer preferences;
  • Provide a better customer service plus a new offering over the web; and
  • Provide a more seamless billing process integrated with internal and third party systems.

“Key drivers that led us to choose BillingCenter were its industry reputation and its intuitive interfaces,” said Johanne Gauthier, senior director, Billing Services, La Capitale. “We are impressed with Guidewire’s technology and architecture and are excited about the vision Guidewire has for its products.”
