Kin, a Chicago-based insurance technology company seeking to simplify home insurance in disaster-prone areas across the country, has partnered with Kangaroo, a providable of home security solutions designed to be affordable and easy to use. As a result of the partnership, Kin’s customers now have access to free Kangaroo home security solutions, which include a Doorbell Camera, Chime, Water + Climate Sensor and a Motion + Entry Sensor, together with 24/7 professional monitoring services, which enable deeper premium discounts for customers.

According to a joint statement, Kin’s users can install the Kangaroo system in minutes and manage and monitor their devices directly through their smartphone on the Kangaroo app. With no hardwiring or professional installation required with Kangaroo’s products, customers can quickly and easily install home security systems, protecting their homes at a very low price point, according to the statement. The kit can also serve as a referral tool, incentivizing customers to encourage their friends and family to sign up for a new policy.
