Key Risk (Greensboro, N.C.), a W.R. Berkley company providing workers’ compensation insurance products and services throughout the eastern U.S. has named Laura Dezarn CIO and vice president. Dezarn, who was most recently an IT director for the Kay division of Ecolab, has a background in strategic information management, business analytics and project management. She will report to Key Risk’s COO and CFO Becky Karr.
She will be responsible for aligning IT, communication networks and computer systems with organizational goals. She will also be called upon to support many of Key Risk’s resource applications, including the company’s proprietary risk management information system MasterKey Connects, according to a Key Risk statement.

Dezarn holds a Bachelors of Science in Computer Science from Appalachian State University and a Masters in Business Administration from The Babcock Graduate School of Management at Wake Forest University.
