ISCS (San Jose, Calif.) has released payment gateway functionality within its SurePower Innovation enterprise suite to enable payment processing for the vendor’s cloud and mobile applications. ISCS also reports that it has achieved compliance with the Payment Card Industry (PCI) Data Security Standard (DSS) as a Level 2 service provider.

ISCS characterizes its PCI DSS compliance as an extra security measure for all merchants and service providers accepting credit cards or retaining financial information for customers. The vendor says its PCI DSS certification reflects its ongoing compliance with a high standard of credit card data security, and the company’s ongoing commitment to ensuring security of customers’ payment and financial information. An ISCS statement notes that validation of PCI DSS compliance is renewed annually as a validation of an organization’s state of ongoing compliance.
“Both consumers and insurers face new security threats from different sources every day,” comments Doug Moore, VP and CTO, ISCS. “While SurePower Innovation currently secures payment and financial information, we are always actively working to stay ahead of the curve. This is why we are already working on receiving validation for PCI DSS Level 1 Compliance.”
“Designed for maximum flexibility and scalability, SurePower Innovation includes cutting-edge and industry-standard functionality, which is complemented by the payment gateway and enhanced level of data security for payment and financial information,” the ISCS statement reads. “Achieving a Level 1 validation involves a higher level of scrutiny applied by a Qualified Security Assessor (QSA) as a thorough PCI DSS assessment is conducted using industry recognized testing procedures.”
