INTX Insurance Software (Austin, Texas) has launched Tenet, an intelligence layer embedded within the company’s unified reinsurance and insurance operating platform.

Tenet is designed to bring contextual intelligence across underwriting, reinsurance, policy administration, claims, accounting and financial operations, according to an INTX statement. The company says the capability is built on a single operational and financial data foundation, allowing it to understand relationships among policies, treaties, underwriting guidelines, claims, accounting activity and financial transactions.

The initial Tenet capabilities include Treaty Intelligence, Policy Intelligence, Underwriting Intelligence and Knowledge Intelligence.

Treaty Intelligence transforms reinsurance treaties into structured operational information to support treaty onboarding and governance across ceded and assumed reinsurance. Policy Intelligence interprets policy documents to identify coverages, endorsements, exclusions, limits, deductibles and policy changes.

Underwriting Intelligence evaluates submissions against underwriting guidelines, authority levels and carrier appetite, identifying exceptions and compliance issues before decisions are made. Knowledge Intelligence connects information across policies, treaties, claims, accounting and underwriting to make institutional knowledge available within workflows.

“The insurance industry doesn’t need another AI assistant,” comments Rob Lewis, CEO, INTX. “AI is only as powerful as the information it understands. Most platforms are layering AI onto fragmented systems. We built a unified operating system first. Tenet is the natural evolution of that architecture, delivering intelligence with the full context of the business—not just individual tasks or documents.”

Tenet operates across the INTX platform, including ReinsureConnect, INTX Re and INTX Core. ReinsureConnect supports ceded reinsurance processes including treaty and facultative accounting, recoverables, bordereaux, Schedule F reporting and financial operations. INTX Re supports assumed reinsurance administration, premium and loss accounting, bordereaux management and capacity management. INTX Core supports commercial P&C underwriting, quoting, policy administration, billing, claims and servicing for carriers, MGAs and fronting organizations.

Embedded in Unified Operating System

INTX says Tenet’s value comes from being embedded in the company’s unified operating system rather than layered onto disconnected systems or acquired products. The company says the architecture gives Tenet access to operational, contractual and financial information needed to support complex insurance decisions.

“Insurance has always been a knowledge business,” comments Devon Ellett, COO and Co-Founder, INTX Insurance Software. “Every underwriting decision, treaty interpretation, claims determination and financial outcome depends on understanding complex information. Tenet delivers that knowledge in context, helping organizations make faster, more consistent decisions every day.”

INTX says planned Tenet capabilities will extend across claims operations, financial analytics, portfolio intelligence, capital management, regulatory reporting and enterprise decision support.

INTX provides enterprise software for the global reinsurance and insurance industry. Its platform supports ceded and assumed reinsurance, underwriting, policy administration, claims, accounting, reporting and financial operations.
