Innovation Group Releases P&C Agent-Focused Windows 8.1 Mobile App

Developed with Microsoft, the app incorporates analytical capabilities designed to foster greater productivity on the part of a carrier customer’s agents.

Innovation Group (Farmington, Conn.) has released a new mobile app for Windows 8.1, developed in collaboration with Microsoft and designed to increase productivity and efficiency for property/casualty insurance agents.

“Many insurers are looking to add mobile capabilities to meet the demands not only of consumers but agents and partners as well,” comments Paul Nichols, president of Innovation Group’s Worldwide Insurer Business. “At the same time, insurers want more in-depth analytics, when they need them, to enable more informed decision-making and to track business performance.”

Nichols characterizes the new Windows 8.1 app as “a great way for insurer to…provide their agents with more meaningful information to increase productivity.”

The app enables agents to easily monitor individual performance statistics using KPIs and standard financial metrics and to perform on-demand self-service business intelligence investigations into operations and clients. The vendor worked closely with Microsoft during the development phase to ensure that the app be tightly integrated with Insurer Analytics, a primary component of Innovation Group’s core system suite. The integration with Insurer Analytics facilitates rapid launch for Innovation Group clients and almost immediate access to in-depth analytics for agents in the field, according to the vendor.

Features and functionality of the Windows 8.1 mobile app include the following:

  • Employs the same guided analysis principles as Insurer Analytics;
  • Provides proactive agent network management for insurers;
  • Enables insurers to notify specific agents of key events that may affect a particular book of business (e.g., severe weather events, regulatory changes);
  • Features GPS integration to facilitate route planning against any agent’s book of business;
  • Is optimized to run on all Windows 8 architectures, including both x86 and ARM devices.
