Instec (Naperville, Ill.), a provider of rating and policy administration systems, with a focus on the program and specialty P&C markets, has announced that it has added Chuck Fillizola to its board of directors. Fillizola is currently chief information officer of Orchid Underwriters Agency (Vero Beach, Fla.).
Instec characterizes Fillizola’s appointment as an infusion of rich industry experience at a time when the vendor is seeing some of the most dramatic growth in its history, having added six new clients in the span of five months. Prior to taking on the CIO role at Orchid Underwriters in early 2015, Fillizola was CIO of Sompo Japan Nipponkoa America. After serving as an IT Director at Munich Re during the 1990s, Fillizola spent over 10 years on the vendor side, holding positions such as president of insurance software and services firm MFX, and VP and chief strategy officer at CSC.
“I’m excited to join Instec at this time. With their recent wins, the success of Quicksolver, their rich bureau content and Cirrus offering, Instec occupies a unique place in the industry,” comments Fillizola. “Since becoming a client of Instec over 15 years ago, I have witnessed many of their competitors fail to deliver the promised value to their customers, while Instec consistently outperformed expectations with the highest level of integrity. In a fast-moving and highly-competitive industry like ours, speed and quality are critical, and Instec delivers on both counts.”
Experience and Deep Knowledge
“We are pleased to add Chuck to our board of directors” says Ray Simon, president and CEO, Instec. “His experience and deep knowledge of the insurance industry, from both a technology and business point of view, will be very valuable to Instec as we expand the depth and breadth of our product offering.”
