Hippo, the Palo Alto, Calif.-based, unicorn-status InsurTech distributor that applies emerging data sources and processing approaches to homeowners’ insurance, has selected ClaimsPay, part of the One Inc (Folsom, Calif.) Digital Payments Platform, to expand the company’s outbound payment capabilities to give customers more financial convenience with regard to receiving claims settlements.

Hippo’s home insurance model aims at world-class customer experience, modern coverage, such as for electronics and home office equipment, and services that proactively identify and help to resolve risks for customers. The company’s claims team, which is focused on empathetic claims concierge service, makes the claims handling process as smooth as possible from start to finish with a single point of contact for customers. Through ClaimsPay, Hippo’s customers will have access to digital disbursement options that deliver payments instantly, leading to added convenience and less stress during the claims process, a joint statement says.
