Hawaiian Hurricane Group (HHG), an insurance agency focused on developing hurricane products tailored to the needs of the Hawaiian Islands with its underwriting partner White Pine Insurance (Somerset, Pa.), has implemented Decision Research Corporation’s (DRC, Honolulu and Philadelphia) GameChanger Suite as its enterprise policy administration solution. HHG’s agents can now rate, quote, issue and service policies using the DRC solution.

HHG implemented the GameChanger Suite via the cloud, enabling the quick implementation of a highly specialized hurricane solution with enhanced coverage and pricing tuned to the Hawaii market, according to the vendor. The solution was deployed via Microsoft’s Windows Azure platform, allowing HHG to reduce infrastructure costs while retaining the ability to easily change, grow and scale, DRC Notes.

“We selected DRC because of their ability to provide a cloud-based system that could be quickly implemented,” comments Steve Doucette, president, HHG. “The GameChanger Suite is also flexible enough to support our hurricane insurance product that is designed and custom built for Hawaii homeowners.  The DRC team has been excellent to work with and has helped make our implementation a success.”

Configurable Capabilities

“We are pleased to see the new business rolling in for HHG’s first line of business, their unique product requirements is the perfect testament of the configurable capabilities of our product,” says Karen Yamamoto, president, DRC.  “Their knowledgeable team and expertise in the insurance industry helped us deploy a superior automated solution for their agents while minimizing the number of back office support staff needed.”
