Personal lines broker Hastings Direct (Bexhill-on-Sea, England), has selected Guidewire (San Mateo, Calif.) InsuranceSuite as its new platform for underwriting, policy administration, claims, billing rating and client data.

The carrier has over 1.7 million customers and employs around 1,800 people. Hastings direct was recently voted Car Insurer Provider of the Year for the third year in a row. The carrier markets its products on what it characterizes as a straightforward service and product proposition that focuses on customer service and low price for quality insurance.
