Betterview, the San Francisco-based InsurTech creator of a property intelligence platform, has announced an upgraded version of its Betterview Accelerator for Guidewire (San Mateo, Calif.) PolicyCenter. The accelerator will bring the full capabilities of Betterview’s platform to Guidewire 10 and Guidewire Cloud customers via a downloadable app coming soon to the Guidewire Marketplace, according to a Betterview statement.
“Betterview’s upgraded integration will help our mutual clients stay competitive by providing their underwriters with aerial imagery and actionable roof and property data.” comments Neil Betteridge, VP, Strategy, Guidewire Software.
Betterview describes its platform as creating actionable data from imagery that empowers carriers to take relevant actions and work with their insureds and agents to mitigate risk. The Betterview Accelerator enables Guidewire users to access Betterview’s geospatial predictive analysis and data enrichment for buildings and locations during the new business process, policy changes and renewal. It provides Guidewire customers with risk assessment of roofs and property characteristics that saves PolicyCenter users time by automating data input and aggregating and storing building and property data in one place.
Accessing Property Intelligence within PolicyCenter
With the Accelerator, underwriters use Betterview’s intelligence to decide whether to insure a risk and at what price, without having to leave the convenience of PolicyCenter. They can route files into the appropriate high-touch or no-touch underwriting workflow and make recommendations to the insured, such as repairing a roof as a condition for policy issuance.
“With Betterview’s Accelerator, Guidewire customers can access—and act on—unique property data and imagery within the Guidewire PolicyCenter,” comments David Lyman, Co-Founder & CEO, Betterview. “Connections Reimagined is a great opportunity to connect with Guidewire customers ready to improve their property underwriting process quickly, with measurable results.”
